GECKOFEST 10^th ANNIVERSARY!!!

The 10th Annual Gulfport GECKOFEST is on the way! This FREE Event is sponsored by the Gulfport Merchants Association, The City of Gulfport and The Gulfport Chamber of Commerce, and is a full day of fun for everyone. Proceeds will benefit the Gulfport Recreation Center. This quirky celebration brings together strolling street performers, main stage performers and vendors with all types of weird and wonderful wares up and down Beach Blvd. Over 200 arts, craft and food vendors will be in attendance at this year’s event!

Join the o-FISH-al GECKO Goddess and the Gecko Court along with Kim Magic and other roving characters, who will be roaming the streets and entertaining the crowds! Live entertainment will be provided on three main stages from 11 am till 10pm. Don’t forget this is an audience participation event especially the parade (6pm…think Renaissance meets Mardi Gras: wacky, noisy, and costumed!) with adults & children’s costume contests and a hat contest at the end. Additional activities include Sidewalk Chalk Art, Face Painting, Belly Dance lessons and much more. The day culminates in Gulfport’s famous -STREET DANCE at 8:00 pm! Bring your dancing shoes, and help celebrate our 10th Anniversary!

The 9th Annual Gulfport Gecko Fest is on the way. This FREE Event sponsored by the Gulfport Merchants Association, GEICO, Gulfport Chamber of Commerce, Industrial Art Center, Sail Away Realty and the City of Gulfport is a full day of fun for everyone. Proceeds will benefit the St. Petersburg Aids Walk. This quirky celebration brings together strolling street performers, main stage performers and vendors with all types of weird and wonderful wares up and down Beach Blvd. Over 190 vendors are expected to be in attendance at this years event!

Join the o-FISH-al GECKO Goddess and the Gecko Court along with Belly Dancers, clowns, magicians, pirates, Mimes, Imagination, Theatre, and Fire throwers, who will all be roaming the streets and entertaining the crowds!

If you want to stay in one place…FREE live entertainment will be provided on three main stages from noon till 10 p.m.

Don’t forget this is an audience participation event especially the parade (6pm)… We are expanding the Gecko Walking Parade (think wacky, noisy, and costumed) with non human, and adults & children’s costume contests at the end. Additional activities include Sidewalk Chalk Art, Face Painting. Drum Circle, Belly Dance Lessons and Much More.

The day culminates in Gulfport’s famous -STREET DANCE at 8:00 pm! Bring your dancing shoes and beach chairs!
